Barrel Racing Lessons · Ripley, West Virginia

Ride with Royalty in Every Stride

Learn barrel racing with Ashley Calhoun — an AQHA competitor opening her arena to riders who want to build a real seat, a clean pattern, and faster, smoother turns. Three programs, one for every level of saddle time.

A brand-new lessons program from a working competitor. Billed every 4 weeks · 60-day cancellation notice · annual prepay saves 10%.

Every program bills every 4 weeks, and the full program agreement is presented and e-signed before any payment. New to the pattern? Start with Foundation and grow from there.

Plain-language terms, before you pay

The terms that matter should never be a surprise — they are printed here, and written into the agreement you e-sign before any card is charged.

Autopay every 4 weeks

Your program bills automatically on a recurring 4-week cycle beginning on your enrollment date, with a valid credit or debit card kept on file.

Cancel with 60 days written notice

Cancel anytime with sixty (60) days written notice. You stay financially responsible for tuition through the 60-day period, and you may keep riding your scheduled lessons during it.

No makeup lessons

Kindly and plainly: because every rider holds a standing weekly spot on a horse, there are no makeup lessons, rollover credits, or refunds for missed rides. Give as much notice as you can and we will always do our best.

Prepay the year, save 10%

Choose annual prepay at enrollment and save ten percent versus paying every 4 weeks — the savings are printed on each program above.

To Confirm

A few details are still being finalized before launch: the closure weeks Queen Quarter Horses takes each year for shows, jackpots, and horse rest, and whether the Development Program includes competing on a program horse. Both will be confirmed and posted before your first cycle begins.

Nothing goes live until it is exact. If any number or date here needs to change, we make it right before you ride.

Questions, answered straight

Who teaches the lessons?

Ashley Calhoun herself — an AQHA barrel competitor who runs Queen Quarter Horses in Ripley. This is a brand-new lessons program, so you are learning the pattern the way she rides it.

I have never run barrels — is this for me?

Yes. Foundation starts with your seat and your horsemanship long before you ever chase a can. You build the fundamentals first, then add speed as you are ready.

Do I need my own horse?

No. You learn on program horses. The Performance Program keeps you on the same horse every ride — the closest thing to a lease, without the lease.

What is the difference between the three programs?

It comes down to saddle time each week: one ride on Foundation, two on Development, or three rides on the same horse with Performance.

Will I get to compete?

Barrel racing is about chasing the clock, and as you progress Ashley will help you plan your first jackpots. The details of competing on a program horse are being finalized and posted before launch.

When does my billing start?

Your first 4-week cycle begins on your enrollment date, and the full program agreement is presented and e-signed before any payment is taken.
